Visi

As a supporting unit, the IOP complies with the vision of the institute, which is “becoming an internationally recognized excellent higher education institution in terms of scientific development, Islamic values, and Indonesia-ness. The vision has been broken down into several missions that can be encapsulated into three interrelated key words: Intellectuality, Islam, and Indonesia-ness.  ‘Intellectuality’ refers to intellectual exercises that are built upon interdisciplinary scientific methods as reflected in academic activities both at the national and international levels. ‘Islam’ signifies the foundation of the institute as an Islamic higher education. Far from being understood as a political ideology (Islamism), it refers to a set of universal principles or values that are embodied into individual and social attitudes as well as integrated into intellectual endeavors. “Indonesia-ness” reflects the institute’s eagerness, as a state institution to insulate nationalism-oriented intellectual and religious attitudes both at the individual and social levels.

In concurrence with the above conception, the IOP IAIN Kediri is envisioning “to become a unit of excellence in enhancing the internalization process of IAIN Kediri through varied international and national networks of cooperation within the framework of intellectuality, Islam, and Indonesia-ness. 

Misi

It is of high importance for the IOP IAIN Kediri becomes a solid and well-structured unit in order to function effectively. Internal consolidation is a high priority during the first year of its establishment. The IOP IAIN Kediri will focus on three areas of activities as outlined in Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi): Education, Research, and Community Outreach. Hence, the IOP IAIN Kediri has set up the following missions:

1.       Build solid and well-structured institutional infrastructures and capacity based on openness, fairness, and integrity;

2.     Enhance educational partnership and cooperation both at the national and international levels;

3.      Develop individual and collaborative research and publication that are internationally recognized;

4.      Initiate community outreach that involves the participation of international communities.
